It is fascinating to read the accounts of the apparitions of our lady to see how her rosary is described.
In Lourdes our lady was described by Bernadette – here are her words, originally spoken in a local dialect.
“The Lady was dressed in white, with a white veil on her head, and a blue sash at her waist. A Rosary of white beads on a golden chain was on her right arm. “
Note in some transaltations “gold” and “yellow” are interchanged.
“On that cold winter’s day, her feet were bare, but on each foot was a golden rose radiant with the warmth of summer as having yellow roses on each foot, and that the chain of her rosary matched the yellow of the roses”
So it was a gold rosary with white beads. The beads of the gold rosary have also been described as pearl instead of white.
